In the "Historico-Cultural course", participants experience a fascinating journey through time in which the history, culture and traditions of the UK are explored in a captivating series of lectures. Also included in the trip are extracurricular activities and weekend tours to world-renowned English heritage sites such as The Tower of London, Blenheim Palace, Madame Tussauds, Stonehenge and Bath (Roman city).

Full board accommodation is provided in 14th Century Exeter College www.exeter.ox.ac.uk, so participants will have the opportunity to learn the finer points of English culture whilst taking in the scenery of the Oxford chapels and spires. Three meals per day are served in the 17th Century Great Hall. The college is located in the centre of Oxford adjacent to the Radcliffe Camera and within close proximity of the Sheldonian Theatre, Carfax Tower and the other Oxford Colleges. This central position in Oxford means participants can explore the city with a minimum of effort. A sample timetable is available at www.oxford-royale.co.uk/timetable.html.

The course aims to be accessible to people from a wide range of educational backgrounds and anyone over the age of 14 years is welcome to attend. The course price-list can be found on our website's enrolment page, www.oxford-royale.co.uk/enrol.html. Prices include airport transfers, accommodation, meals and the educational programme. We also offer private tuition in specific disciplines if the extra cost is sustainable for the particular student.

Places on this course are strictly limited and it is therefore advisable that if you (or one of your students) would like to enrol for August 2005, that you apply on-line as soon as possible. Staff, supervisors, academics and professionals are welcome to attend in Oxford. If you would like to make a group booking, there is a price advantage, since we offer the 12th person a complimentary course fee.

A full colour brochure is available in Acrobat PDF format on our website.

Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any further questions and I would be obliged if you would extend this invitation to anyone who might benefit from this experience.

Best Wishes,
