Colored Light for Chagall
Listen to this work now. This performance was rendered by the composer's computer.
"Half-forgotten images mix together in dreams. No matter the medium--painting, sculpture, stained glass--the art of Marc Chagall juxtaposes seemingly obvious symbols--a wedding couple, the statue of Liberty, a menorah, a goat. They suggest a magical story without telling it. This music incorporates the faint jingling of torah finials and the raucous voice of a shofar into a dream sequence which just might tell such a mythical story--perhaps."
